Bratislava Region is the smallest of eight Self-Governing Regions, but most populated and most prosperous region of Slovakia. It has the lowest unemployment rate (3.39 %) and is also the most productive region. The region generates more than 25 % of the total GDP of Slovakia. Bratislava Region offers diversified leisure facilities meeting all needs of modern life: business, entertainment, and culture. It is the focal point of science and research in Slovakia. The Region spreads at the borders of two countries, neighbouring with Hungary in the south and Austria in the west. The Small Carpathian mountain range is well known for its wine production and its attractive tourist wine route, as well as for traditional yearly vintage ceremonies.

R. Štefánika are connecting the North, West, South and East.
